What is a Health Advocate?

A Personal Health Advocate is someone that understands the complexities of the healthcare system. Our Advocates are here to support, guide, comfort, and inform you. If you have a healthcare question or concern, simply call our Advocates. Whether you need them to negotiate a medical bill or simply make an appointment for you, they are here to help.

My Virtual Doctor’s 15% Promise

One of our most powerful services is negotiating your medical bills. If your Personal Health Advocate does not save you at least 15% on your submitted medical bills, you keep all the savings. Minimum bill of $1,000.

Here’s how it works:

Send or Upload your bill and provide some info.
Our specialists will review your bill for errors. Fun fact- Up to 80% of bills contain errors.
If your bill qualifies, our experts with negotiate with the provider. We will save you at least 15% off your bill. Some customers have saved as much as 75%.

We only get paid if we save you
at least 15%.

If we are able to save you at least 15%,
My Virtual Doctor Will charge a flat fee of 35%. Example:

  • $1,000 medical bill
  • Negotiated savings of 20%, or $200
  • 35%, or $70, to us and $130 to you

And remember, if we don’t save you at least 15%,
you keep all the savings.

When selecting an advocate, it's best to:

  • Clearly explain the kind of help you need and your concerns.
  • Provide details of your medical history. You may even want to give your advocate access to your electronic health record so he or she can refer to test results or notes, ask for refills on prescription medication, and even email questions or concerns to the physician. Just make sure you provide permission for the doctor and other health care professionals to share information about you with your advocate.
  • Give your advocate's contact information to your health care team, and give your advocate your health care team's contact information.
